Weather-Adjusted Sales Analysis and Modeling for Food Service Business

I collaborated closely with a food service industry client to conduct an analysis aiming to understand the interplay between sales performance and local weather conditions Utilizing Python, OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and GNU Octave, I executed a methodical approach to extract, process, and model data for valuable insights.

The initial phase involved extracting the client's sales data from PDFs using OCR techniques, converting it into both an SQLite database and CSV format. This facilitated smooth analysis and manipulation of the sales data.
